A Pile of Introverts: Atlanta Writer's Conference

What happens when you squish a pile of introverts - writers are notoriously shy - into a small meeting room? You'd never would have thunk it, but a good time had by all. It was a dull roar in there.

The Mai Tia gave me a little liquid courage :). But after putting it all out there, I am wiped out and enjoying the view of Atlanta Hartsfields Airport. Lo, even airplanes are beautiful in soft light.

What did I learn today?

1. You will not make friends if you announce to a fellow writer at a mixer that you are only there to speak to agents.

2. Sometimes a gregarious man with an Italian name really is from New York.

3. That quiet lady with a name of a graceful flower has one powerful story to tell.

And tomorrow, I have to tell mine.

Good night delta.
